Program 3.
Upper Westside College
Year 10
This website contains important information
that will help students to get the most out their Snowy River
Journey. The aim of this journey is to give students an opportunity
to learn about teamwork, whilst living and working with each
other in a small group in a spectacular and remote natural
environment.
Students will have an opportunity to put
into practice skills they have learnt during their previous
3 years of OEG programs. OEG and school staff will take a
back seat role, providing safety support and facilitation
of theory sessions on formal models of teamwork. Students
will be encouraged and supported to take the lead and to put
theory into practice.
All students should be at school by 7.15am
for a 7.30am departure on Monday 14th June.
Please bring your lunch for the first day.
Students will self cater throughout the journey. A range of
meal suggestions and advice on bush cooking can be found in
the Diet/Menu section of this site.
Students are advised to print a copy
of the equipment list. It is intended that students will return
to school around 4pm on Friday, however delays are possible.
