Cultural Sessions

Aboriginal cultural sessions can be a key ingredient for your visit. The Jungai Centre hires a full time Cultural Officer to plan and develop curriculum based on Koori culture. Sessions include:

Music: covering traditional and contemporary
Art and Craft: including rock, bark and body painting
Bush Tucker: nutritional and medicinal value
Artifacts display: tools and technology, boomerang throwing, dance and performance

Other sessions offered at the Jungai Centre include:

Environmental Education activities
Group building and leadership activities
Bush skills
Arts and Humanities
Outdoor adventure activites

All activities have been aligned with the Victorian Curriculum Standards to help teachers meet the educational requirements of today.
