HUMPIE BUILDING
Goals
Learn the purpose of humpies in traditional Aboriginal life
Create own humpies under instruction.
Apprehend the physical characteristics of various natural materials during practical application.

Potential Activities
Cultural officer discusses with students the purpose of humpies, how they
are made and what materials are traditionally used. Students are then involved in constructing their own humpies, using only bark, leaves, sticks and string.
