Potential Activities
Students ‘brainstorm’ possible visual themes, (a Koori theme, for example). In smaller groups students draft ideas on paper, and then re-join to discuss the outcome. Students create the mural using acrylic paints on a large sheet and hang it to dry when completed. This activity is best utilised toward the end of a program when students have absorbed knowledge about indigenous traditions and symbolism. (For example, after the game ‘Rubicon
Country’.)
