The classes offered at The Jungai Centre have been designed to help meet our mission of creating an awareness of self, others and the natural world through Indigenous culture and environmental education.
Classes are interactive and fun and have a real impact on children beyond their Jungai experience.
The Jungai Centre offers you a number of programmatic goals which are addressed through the curriculum and daily life at The Jungai Centre:
Leadership – skills and qualities essential to working within groups
Action – finding appropriate ways to apply cultural and environmental values
Stewardship – in daily life and as a role model for others
Empowerment – developing a positive self-concept and belief in your personal skills
Responsibility – to be an active member in a sustainable future
Make education come to life at Jungai!
Whether you are doing cultural activities, at a canoeing session, or in the dining hall, The Jungai Centre staff strive to make these principles come to life in each student, through awareness building activities; appreciation of the diversity found in society and in nature, as well as the development of essential group dynamic and communication skills.
Learning should be discovery based, interactive and most of all – fun!!
Join us in creating an experience that will last a lifetime!!
